José Guadalupe Jimenez Jr.

“Editing is a lot like dancing. You need rhythm, timing, and a good ear. And a lot of coffee. Lots and lots of coffee.”

José Guadalupe Jimenez Jr. is a Latino filmmaker born and raised in Los Angeles. A graduate of California State University, Northridge (BA, Television Production, 2009), Jimenez is known for his ability to be a fly on the wall when filming, making subjects feel comfortable while capturing real and raw moments on camera.  In the edit bay, Jimenez brings his diverse experience (English and Spanish language television, new media, promos and sports) to help craft engaging and inspiring stories.

Before collaborating with Peter and Brian, Jimenez wrote, directed, edited, and shot the Fox Deportes original documentary series, Futuros Y Leyendas. He profiled some of the biggest names in sports, including boxing champion Oscar De La Hoya, UFC Champion Dominick Cruz, Mexican soccer legends Claudio Suárez and Alberto Aspe and three-time Nascar Mexican champion German Quiroga. The series is the first of its kind for Spanish sports television. In 2015 Jimenez also wrote, directed and produced, Corriendo ante el Sol for Fox Deportes, a seven-part web series featuring the first foreign-born NASCAR champion, Daniel Suárez. In 2016-2017, José served as an editor, producer and director of photography for Angeleno.
