Brian Tessier

“If the evidence is out there, I’ll find it. I like to believe that truth is always around the corner – in the tiniest detail.”

Brian Tessier has collaborated with Peter for 17 years. The multiple Emmy nominee and Peabody Award-winner is known for his ability to earn the trust of subjects, estates and archives across the country, and for unearthing previously undiscovered primary source material. After graduating from UCLA (BA, Psychology, 1997), the native Angeleno was an Associate Producer or Producer on eleven A&E Biography episodes, including profiles on Roman Polanski, Spencer Tracy, Glen Campbell, Marvin Gaye, Peter Fonda and Eva Braun. In 2003 he produced and co-wrote the two-hour A&E Biography special on Dr. Seuss.

Tessier took on the role of Supervising Producer for Peter Jones Productions in 2005. The following year he received a Primetime Emmy nomination for Stardust: The Bette Davis Story, and praise from critic Tom Shales, who called the film “one of the most personal, intimate and shocking biographical documentaries ever made on a movie star.” For Inventing LA: The Chandlers and Their Times, Tessier amassed a striking collection or archival material that Variety hailed as “absolute aces.” He also oversees all budgets, schedules, contracts and clearances for PJP, including those for Johnny Carson: King of Late Night and all fifty episodes of Carson on TCM. In 2016 Brian received his second Emmy nomination for Angeleno.
